Iris M. Eggert, age 99, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Born on November 15, 1918 in Neilsville, WI, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Amelia (Bennin) Casper.  On February 7, 1953, Iris was united in marriage to Marvin Eggert in New London.  Marvin preceded her in death on August 10, 1992.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano and involved in the Naomi Circle.

Iris is survived by: two children, Kenneth and Diana Eggert of Shawano and Kathryn and Pastor John Laatsch of Gillett; six grandchildren, Denise (Dan) Huntington, Kendall Eggert, Kurt Eggert, Sarah (Ben) Clark, Faith Laatsch and John Mark (Jennifer) Laatsch; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; 2 great great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Henrietta Kent, Donna Houg and Diana Casper.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Marvin; her parents; and five siblings.

Funeral services for Iris will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Faith United Lutheran Church in Gillett with Pastor John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano in the spring. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
