James L. Boyd, Jr. age 52 of Gillett, died on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Neenah. Born on February 16, 1965 in Chicago, he is the son of Betty (Vigue) Edgerton and the late James L. Boyd, Sr.  James lived in the Gillett area much of his life and attended Gillett Schools.  Loving the nature and the beauty of the outdoors, he earned certification in training in horticulture and attended classes at Menominee Nation College for Sustainable Development. Carpentry was a big part of his life, as was his beautiful beadwork.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his family and friends.

He is survived by: children, James (Danielle) Kuhn, Michele (Ross) Kuhn, Joseph Boyd, Anthony J. Boyd; grandchildren, Bentley, Aliya, Marcus, Mya, Mashya, Davian, Rainell, Kingston; mother, Betty (Sean) Edgerton; companion, Rebecca Mason; siblings, Harold (Ruth) Boyd, Bethnay (Dylan) Ponchaud, Shane Boyd, Judy Boyd, Pete Boyd and Amber Boyd, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

James is preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Mitchell Vigue and Phyllis (Lyons) Vigue; and his paternal grandparents, Harold and Madeline Stomer; aunts, uncles and cousins.
