James Anthony Gianoli, age 69 of Shawano, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home with his wife by his side. Born on September 11, 1942 in La Crosse, he was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy (Eckert) Gianoli. After graduating from high school, James furthered his education with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree. He worked as a Tech Ed teacher in the Clintonville School District for 26 years with a total of 30 years of teaching before retiring. On February 11, 1983 he was united in marriage to Nancy Fuller in Crandon. James was proud of his religious beliefs and enjoyed Bible study through his home church. He was also a member of the Clintonville Education Association where he was Treasurer. In his free time James enjoyed biking and traveling. James is survived by: his wife, Nancy; 3 stepsons, Paul Bishop of Mesa, AZ, Craig (Regina) Bishop of Mesa, AZ, Brian (Nancy) Bishop of Warrenton, VA; and 4 grandchildren, Madeline, Aubry, Peter and Daniel. James was preceded in death by: his parents, Carl and Dorothy; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Minnie Eckert; paternal grandparents, Antony and Mary Gianoli; and a brother, Phillip. In honor of James wishes, no funeral services will be held. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
