James W. Knuese, age 64 of Shawano, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. James was born on June 27, 1950 in Milwaukee to the late Ray and Ruth Knuese. James was a peaceful, kind hearted man who loved having fun with his family and friends. James is survived by: his significant other, Joleen Hawpetoss; his children, Kristen and Evan Knuese, both of Arizona; Joleen's children, Jessey Hawpetoss and Julia Van Straten; two step grandchildren, Drake and Tenas, a special niece Sicliana and a special nephew Henry; a brother, Jack Knuese; a sister, Jill Knueppel; as well as Joleen's siblings, David Hawpetoss, Travis Hawpetoss, Peter Hawpetoss and Alicia Hawpetoss; Joleen's parents, Jill & Paul Marroquin; and James' best friend, George. James was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
