James Allen "Jim" "Beau" O'Brien, age 64, passed away on Saturday February 18, 2023, in Shawano. James was born on November 14, 1958, to the late Gerald and Judith (Herman) O'Brien, in Racine. After graduating from Bonduel High School in 1976, Beau enlisted in the United States Army serving his country from 1976 until 1981.  Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he came home to work in construction with his dad, uncle, and brothers. In his free time Beau enjoyed golfing, playing video games and watching movies. He was a talented musician, playing mostly the bass guitar and he loved playing music with his brother and friends.

James is survived by his siblings, Joyce (Tom) Rauterkus, Jack (Charlene) O'Brien, and Jay O'Brien as well as his niece and nephews, Jennifer Rauterkus, Craig (fiancé Melissa) Rauterkus, Clint Rauterkus, and Joshua O'Brien.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Christina Forsyth.

A memorial gathering is being held at St. Martin of Tour Catholic Parish, on Saturday February 25, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, with a meal to follow. Inurnment will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
