James "Jim" J. Schneider, age 75 of Shawano, passed away on June 2, 2021. Jim was born August 31, 1945, to the late Elmer and Bernice (Kuehn) Schneider in Appleton. Jim was a mechanic, dairy farmer and worked at the Cecil Feed Mill for good friends, Leo and Signora Bahr.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and served on the Cecil/Town of Washington Fire Department for over 30 years.  He also served as Chairman for the Town Board in the Town of Washington and as President for various other organizations.  In Jim's free time he enjoyed Polka Music and had a "Green Thumb" and enjoyed flower gardening. One of his greatest joys in life was watching his son, Brad, ice race on Shawano Lake and seeing him win.

Jim is survived by his former wife, Carol Schneider, of Cecil; son, Brad (fiancé, Leandra Keefer) Schneider, of Shawano; grandson, Ashton; sister, Carol (Marvin) Gehm; brothers, John Schneider and Jeff (Karen) Schneider. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Bernice Schneider.

A memorial service for Jim will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Moira Finley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday after 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
