James “Jim” John Joseph Van Price, Jr., age 83, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Shawano. Jim was born on June 11, 1942, in West Bend, WI, to the late James Velmer and Margaret “Dawn” (Langlois) Van Price. In May of 1961, he married his first wife Sandy in West Bend. They later divorced and she preceded him in death. Jim worked at the Wausau Cabinet Factory where he met his future wife, Kathleen “Kathy” Mielke. On March 26, 1975, he was united in marriage to Kathy in Antigo. The couple spent a wonderful 48 years together before Kathy’s passing in 2023. Jim lived all over Wisconsin working for multiple siding businesses before owning and operating Quality Exteriors. He ran his business for over 10 years before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and growing all types of plants. He especially grew beautiful roses in his youth. He loved Christmas decorating and grilling/caramelizing food for the family. Jim was a hard worker but always played harder and you knew if you were liked by him. The family is grateful for the memories that Jim was able to have with them, and even more grateful that he is finally at peace after his long battle with his health.

Jim is survived by: his children, Jim Van Price, Cory Van Price, Travis (Tamra) Van Price, Shay (Bryan) Prince and Sarah Skalitzky; grandchildren, Shanda, Emily, Matthew, Tyler, Hays Sr., Tucker, Ryan, Luke, Ashley, Ashley, Zach and Hunter; numerous great-grandchildren; his siblings, Candy (Richard) Peterman, Lance “Shawn” (Wendy) Van Price and Vicki Zoch; He is survived by many other relatives and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Marie in infancy; wife, Kathy; former wife, Sandy; granddaughter, Desire; son-in-law, Walter Conkey; sister, Mary Jill Owen; brother-in-law, Jim Zoch; and parents, James and Dawn Van Price.

A family run celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Bamboo Bar, W5884 Cedar Court, Shawano, WI 54166, starting at 1:00 pm.
