James Edward White, Sr., age 80 of Bowler, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with many medical issues. Born on April 23, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Morrow) White. Jim married Geraldine Pinchard and together the couple raised six children. Jim had a passion for auto racing, horses, photography and deer hunting. He loved spending time with his family and his dog and companion, Gizmo. He was a fountain of strength and knowledge, and has passed on many life lessons to his family, all of which they will keep in their hearts for always. Jim leaves behind: his life-long friend and the mother of his children, Geraldine White; along with his children, Robin (Peter) Forstner, Joe (Loreen) White, Laurie (Mike Jost) White, Jim (Dawn) White Jr., Tracy Kiiskila, Kristin (Kyle Baker) White; 18 grandchildren, Tami (Adam) Demaskie, Amanda Forstner, Jenene (Nick) Wudtke, Clint (Jessica Besaw) Forstner, Katelyn Forstner, Chanel White, Heather White, Lacy (Jeremy) Christians, Stacey Scray, Cody Scray, Ryan Scray, Adam White, Kaleanne Dyce, Tyler Kiiskila, Hunter Kiiskila, Arianna Guerin, Julian White, Alexander Baker; and 8 great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Trinity, Maiden, Lifeson, Blake, Isaiah, Jacob and Brady. James is further survived by: his sisters, Carol (Roger) Nuthals, Faye Petasek; a brother, Eugene White; a sister-in-law, Florence White; and many other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Robert White, Sr.; a sister in infancy, Darlene; and brother-in-law, Leonard Petasek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda with the Rev. Dennis Creswell officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
