Janice Fay Ecker, age 74 , passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, in Shawano. Janice was born on March 16, 1950, in Shawano to the late Lawrence and Velma (Suehring) Pringnitz. She graduated from Tigerton High School in 1968. On September 23, 1978, Janice was united in marriage to Conrad Ecker in Split Rock. She worked many jobs including medical van transfer driver, substitute teacher and school bus driver at Bowler School District. In Janice's free time, she enjoyed gardening, crafting, camping, cake decorating and spending time with family and friends. She was a former member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Bowler and is an active member at Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda. Janice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend; she will be deeply missed.

Janice is survived by her husband of 46 years, Conrad; children, Jeff (special friend, Hannah) Ecker and Sarah (John) Schuette; grandchildren, Alex and Christina; siblings, Dennis (Susan) Pringnitz, John (Donna) Pringnitz, Steve (Joanne) Pringnitz and Karin (Doug) Seefeldt; sister-in-law, Jane Pringnitz; and best friends, Luann and Jeanie. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Janice is preceded in death by her siblings, Joan Peterson and Larry Pringnitz, Sr.; nephew, Gary Pringnitz; and parents, Lawrence and Velma.

A memorial service for Janice will be held Tuesday December 31, 2024, at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda with Vicar Jim Hartleben officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church starting at 9:30 am until the time of service. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery in the spring.
