Jean Delores Tetting, age 90, of Shawano, formerly of Gresham, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Jean was born in the Town of Richmond on July 29, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Grace (Buettner) Sperberg.
She is a graduate of Gresham High School.
On September 5, 1943, Jean was united in marriage to Adrian Tetting at St. Paul Stoney Hill Lutheran Church.
Adrian preceded her in death on January 9, 1993.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham, where she was a volunteer for the Ladies Aid.
Jean volunteered for Bethesda in Green Bay and Lakeland Industries of Shawano, was part of the Ladies Auxiliary Post #390 in Gresham and the Red Springs Homemakers, where she was the secretary for many years.
Jean is survived by:
one daughter, Sandra Niemeier of Palmyra; three sons, Richard Tetting of Shawano, William (Linda) Tetting of Menomonee Falls, and Donald (Kristine) Tetting of Shawano; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Rogers of Menasha and Pat Gruetzmacher of Shawano.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Adrian; her daughter, Helen Kendrick; one son-in-law, Richard Niemeier; one grandchild, Sarah Liberto; her parents, her sister, Ethel Porath; five brothers, Ervin Sperberg, Victor Sperberg, Gordon Sperberg, Merton Sperberg, and Roland Sperberg; as well as two brothers-in-law, Ed Rogers and Lyle Long and a sister-in-law Elenore.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham with Rev. John C. Eyer officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5:00 -7:00 pm and again at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
The family prefers memorials to be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham.
