Jeanette Christ, age 84 of Gresham, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 in Green Bay. Born on April 6, 1928 in Embarrass, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Koeller) Hildebrandt. Jeanette worked as a baker in Clintonville, then for Dr. Litzen and later at the Gresham Co-Op. She enjoyed time with her family, her dogs and animals and traveling. She also enjoyed shopping, watching the birds and cooking apple pie and cookies. She married Alvin Christ on October 20, 1948 at Stoney Hill Church. Jeanette is a member of Zion Lutheran Congregation at Gresham, the Ladies Aide and the Gresham Legion Auxiliary. Jeanette is survived by: her husband, Alvin, a daughter, Barbara (Pat) Gallenberger of Appleton, a son, Bruce (Nicole) Christ of Gresham, a grandson, Patrick M. (Sara) Christ and 3 great-grandchildren; Anthony, Ciarra and Nathanial. She is further survived by 4 siblings; Selma Buettner of Shawano, Raymond Hildebrandt of Bonduel, Leila (Wilfred) Little of Gresham and Dorothy Seering of Minnesota. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings: Laurence, Elmer, William, Carl and Shirley Hildebrandt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham with the Rev. John C. Eyer officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Rest Cemetery, Gresham. Visitation will be on Tuesday May 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
