Obituary
Jeanne Corn, age 66, of Keshena, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Jeanne was born in Keshena on November 4, 1949, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Oshkeshequoam) Corn.
She was united in marriage to Louis Hawpetoss and together they owned and operated a boys' ranch for troubled youth in Leopolis called the Thunderbird Ranch.
She loved cooking and was an avid Packer Fan.
Jeanne is survived by:
two children, Jodi Hawpetoss and Aptickasic Hawpetoss both of Keshena; 14 grandchildren, Richard (Gina), Anthony, Jeanette, Louis, Jeanne, Jennifer, Osawanahkwat, Danny, Autumn, Helen, Awahtok-Mawaew, Santana, Aptickasic II, and Adrian; eight great-grandchildren, Vince, Barbara, Talia, Richard Jr., Odin, Jaysiana, Jeweliyah, and Kanahni; three sisters, Helen (Norman) Peterson, Elaine Oku, and Susan Oshkosh; one brother, Danny (Deb) Corn; and lifelong friends,
the Pamonicutt family and Jim LaRock; as well as the boys from the ranch, including, H.B., Alvin, Darren, Stewart, and the rest of the boys.
She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends, including Leo and the War Bonnet crew.
She was preceded in death by:
a great-grandson, Jace Joseph Olson; her parents; former husband, Louis Hawpetoss; her siblings, Velma "Babe" Tucker, Edith Penass, Janice Bellanger, Margaret Nichols, Arnold "Bill" Corn, Richard "Sonny" Corn, and Rose White; and her lifelong companion, Tom Richmond.
A meal will be served at the Oshkosh residence located at W1801 Silver Canoe Path, Keshena at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
A Prayer service will follow the meal at 12:30 p.m.
Visitation will be held at the residence from 6:00 pm on Monday, June 20, 2016 until the time of the service on Wednesday.
