Jeffrey James Bahr, age 48 of Cecil, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in Green Bay. Born on August 16, 1963 in Washington D.C., he was the son of Shelby (Gunderson) Bahr and the late Dennis Bahr. On June 18, 1983 he was united in marriage to Sally Adkins at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Jeff worked as the cabinet maker at Rosin Woodworkers for more than 20 years. He was also an active volunteer firefighter for the Cecil/Washington Fire Department for 30 years and was a member at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. He was an avid NASCAR fan and in his free time he enjoyed canning, smoking sausage, making jerky, and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time in his yard playing with his two dogs, Brandy and Schnapps. Jeff was a wonderful husband, father, son and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Jeff is survived by: his wife, Sally; his son, Jesse (Amber) Bahr of Cecil; a grandchild (due in February); his daughter, Katie Bahr (special friend, Colleen McQuade) of Cecil; his mother, Shelby Bahr of Cecil; and his maternal grandmother, Alta Gunderson of Bonduel. He is further survived by: his mother-in-law, Dianne Adkins of Bonduel; a sister-in-law, Penny (Jeff) Meek of Wautoma; a niece, Elizabeth Meek; and a nephew, Jared Meek. Jeff was preceded in death by: his father, Dennis Bahr; and his father-in-law, Mark Adkins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 4-8pm and on Saturday after 9am until the time of the service. The Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
