Jerilyn Marie Johnson, age 45 of Bowler, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021.  She was born on October 4, 1975, to Mabel M. (Mohawk) and the late Gerald J. "Skip" Miller, Sr., in Shawano.  Jerilyn graduated from Gresham High School in 1994.  She continued her education and did her undergraduate studies from College of Menominee Nation and graduated with two master's degrees from Lakeland University.  Jerilyn was united in marriage to Scott Johnson on April 13, 2002, at St. Francis Solanus in Gresham.  He was the love of her life and her rock.  She served as the Tribal Secretary for 20 years and for the last two years worked as a supervisor, managing the Mohican Family Center.  When she wasn't busy working, Jerilyn enjoyed the outdoors, where she loved to fish, hunt and go camping.  Most of all she treasured her family and especially her children. She would always put her children's activities first and making sure to never miss an event or a game.  She will deeply be missed by all who loved her.

Jerilyn is survived by: husband, Scott Johnson; children, Rainer (Maria Haskins) Shooter, Walker (Deborah Lyons) Miller, Thomas (Brianne Rosenow) Kazik II, Tynea (Ezra Spencer) Johnson; one granddaughter, Adeloa and one grandchild on the way; her mother, Mabel Miller; brother, Gerald (Lisa) Miller Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth "Romy" Sr.  and Amber Johnson; one brother-in-law, Kenny (Ann Marie) Johnson Jr.; one sister-in-law, Eva (Joe) Johnson; and her good friend Cheryl Pieper.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her father Gerald J. "Skip" Miller, Sr. and her brother-in-law, Swede Johnson.

A funeral mass for Jerilyn will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at St. Francis Solanus in Gresham with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham and again on Wednesday, June 23, 202, at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
