"Jerry" Bucher
November 19, 1941 – December 13, 2025
Jerome A. "Jerry" Bucher, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on Saturday December 13, 2025, in Shawano, Wisconsin. He was born on November 19, 1941, in the Town of Grant, Shawano County, Wisconsin to the late Herman and Hildegard (Voight) Bucher.
Jerry graduated from Shawano High School in 1959. He owned and operated a gas station in Shawano with his father and following the sale of the station he worked varies jobs ending his career as a millwright in the Fox Valley for 25 years.
Jerry was an expert gunsmith, enjoying working on cars and fixing just about anything. He was known in the neighborhood as Mr. Fix It.
In his younger days he enjoyed car racing, fishing, hunting, especially bow hunting with his son; as he got older he enjoyed a good game of golf and cards.
On April 22, 1961, he married his 1st love Delores Brandt. They were blessed with two children, Robert and Susan. Delores preceded him in death on July 17, 1995. On March 7, 2002, Jerry married his 2nd love Kathleen (Shannon) Brunmeiēr.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Kathie; children Bob (Cindy) and Sue (Marc); grandchildren, Andy (Amy), Ryan (Katie), Katie and Belle; great-grandsons, Maverick, Lincoln, Myles, Jackson and Abrams; stepchildren, Mark (Kathy), Joan (Keith) and Lisa (Bear); step-grandchildren, Heather, Seth (Jenny), McKaslyn (Bryce), Mallory (John), Jovi (Mike), Jade (Clay), Kennedy and Kaden; and step-great-grandchildren, Christian, Brogahn, Addison, Charlie, Jace, Isaac, Isabella, Seth, Cattarina, Jantz, Tristian, Keaton, Michael and a baby on the way for Jade and Clay. He is further survived by extended family and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Delores; sisters, Lorraine Hegar and Carolyn Thompson; brother, Charles Bucher; and step-granddaughter, Misty Kosnicki.
A funeral service for Jerry will be held at 11:30 am on Friday December 19, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in the spring.
The family would like to thank the Shawano Ambulance, Shawano Police and the ER staff at ThedaCare Shawano. An extra special thank you to Bill Grahl who gave Jerry communion every week at home.
