Jessie Jean Damveld, age 84 of Shawano, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021.  Jean was born on July 24, 1937, to the late Lyle and Gertrude (Mc Bride) Jensen, in Leighton Township in Allegan County, Michigan.  Jean was united in marriage to David Damveld on June 30, 1956, at St. Theresa Church Wayland, MI.   The couple moved to Shawano in 1961 to farm in the Town of Richmond.  In 1979 they moved to Dubois, WY, where they purchased and ran the Branding Iron Motel.  In 2013 they returned to Shawano.  Jean enjoyed raising Miniature Schnauzers, hunting, fishing, gardening, quilting, crocheting, knitting, baking, and spending time with family.

Jean is survived by: her children, Paul Damveld, Kenneth Damveld, Barb Sheldon and Timothy Damveld; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by: her parents; one son, Daniel Damveld; and one brother Robert Jensen.

A memorial service for Jean will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11:00 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil, with Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Friends may gather at the church from 9:30 am Monday, until time of services.
