Joan LaRock, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in Green Bay.  Joan was born on January 5, 1950, to the late Joseph and Sophia (Warrington) LaRock in Shawano.  Beautiful inside and out, Joan was a positive and uplifting person who had love for everyone. She had a big heart and was always there for her family and friends when needed.  In her free time Joan enjoyed traveling and watching her favorite sports teams, the Packers, Badgers, Bucks, and Brewers.   She loved music, especially country and old R & B and soul.  She also enjoyed learning and practicing traditional Native American ways.

Joan is survived by: her children, Jeremy (Tiana Nickey) King, Robin (Armando) Martinez, Dakota King and Sean King; grandchildren, Dionicia, Armando, Jr., Dakota, Raymond, Miya, Tasheena, Kamaben and Robin; great grandchildren, Lydia, Alligah, Royal, Da'lylah, Danae, and Isabella Joan; five sisters, Judy Long, Eleanor Powless, Bernadine Holstrom, Sue House and Cathy Granquist; and one brother, Wendell LaRock.  She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Raymond LaRock, Elaine Sanapaw, Rosetta Schlicting. Gwendlyn Olson and Glenda LaRock; special nieces and nephews, Christy Dick, Lori Schlicting, Ronna LaRock, Garnet Olson, Terrance LaRock, and Lewis House.

Traditional services for Joan will be held at the South Branch Community Center, W1281 E County Road M, Keshena, WI, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, until the procession leaves for St. Joseph of the Lake Catholic Cemetery in South Branch at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021.
