Joan Pleshek, age 62, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2020.  Joan was born in Shawano on September 4, 1958, daughter of Mary (Tomashek) Pleshek and the late Russell Pleshek.  In 1976, Joan graduated from Shawano High School.  She lived in Florida for several years where she met many wonderful friends before returning to Shawano.  She worked at Georgia Pacific retiring in 2017.  Joan had a passion for gardening and enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.

Joan is survived by: her mother Mary Pleshek of Shawano; her siblings, Kathleen (Eric) Howard of Shawano, Karin (Dave) Hanson of De Pere, Michelle Pleshek of Shwano, and Steven (Tammy) Pleshek of Shawano. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.

Joan's father, Russell Pleshek, preceded Joan in death.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.  Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
