Joanne Gail Busch, age 71, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Shawano. Joanne was born in Oconto Falls on September 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Henry and Nora (Gallagher) Belke.  She was united in marriage to August G. Busch, Jr. on May 15, 1965 in Oconto Falls.  He preceded her in death on January 27, 2001.  Joanne worked as a CNA at the Gillett nursing home until her retirement.   She was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church in Gillett and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Kookie.

Joanne is survived by her children, Laura (Vince) Weier and Tim (Katie) Busch both of Cecil; one grandson, Wyatt; her brother, Myles (Jean) Belke of Bonduel; and two sisters, Elaine Schenk of Shawano, and Judy (Anthony) Wegner of Cecil.

She was preceded in death by her husband, August, her parents, and three brothers, Richard, Wayne, and Mike.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Faith United Lutheran Church, 11465 Old U, Gillett with Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Pulcifer.  Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
