Obituary

John Manton Lee Fink, 85, Village of Bonduel, was suddenly called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior on December 23, 2015. John was born October 12, 1930, in the Town of Hartland.  He enjoyed working on his farm on Hwy 47 south of Bonduel all his life, right up to the time of his passing.  He was the son of the late John C. Fink and Anna (Popelka) Fink.  He attended the Slab City School until the 8th grade.  He went early to school each winter morning to start the fire and get the school warm.  On October 11, 1952, he married Beverly Hansen of Shawano.  They were happily married for 63 years. John and Beverly enjoyed traveling in their later years.  Some of the places they visited were Hawaii, Alaska, Australia, England, Holland, Spain, Mexico, North Carolina, Florida and Washington. John was a lifelong member of Friedens Lutheran Church in Bonduel, having served on the council and other offices for many years.  He was faithful to his Lord his entire life, giving a good example to his children of a solid work ethic and regularly hearing God's Word through church attendance.

He is survived by five children, Bob (Susan) of Manitowoc, Patti (Mike) Boerst of Bonduel, Brenda (Dan) Krause of Navarino, Rick (JoAnne) of Bonduel, and Donna (Brian) Fischer of New Ulm, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren, Jeremy Boerst, Andy (Erin) Krause, Jacob (Michelle) Fink, Laura (Tom) Johnston, Ryan Fischer, Matt Krause, Tony (Ashley) Boerst, Erin Joshi, Jared (Abbey) Fink, Adam Fischer, Janie Krause, Anna (Andrew) Hill, Keri Fischer, Danielle Fink; and four great-grandchildren. He further survived by his brother, Dennis (Barbara) Fink of Pelican Lake, WI; one sister-in-law, Nancy (Bob) Lueck; and one brother-in-law, David (Donna) Hansen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Eric and Sarah Boerst.
