John A. Kassube, age 45, passed away on Tuesday August 22, 2023. John was born on September 17, 1977, in Shawano, son of Mark Pyawasay and the late Kandace Kassube. In his free time, John enjoyed being outdoors in nature, spending time in the woods and fishing. John was a talented artist, and loved tattooing. More than anything he loved spending time with his children and all of his family members.

John is survived by his children, Precious Rose Pamonicutt, Elizabeth Lynn Harrison, Sapatis MarkAnthony Mahkimetas-Pyawasay, Jeffery James Mahkimetas-Pyawasay and Shawn Ellsworth Mahkimetas-Pyawasay; his father, Mark Pyawasay; siblings, Samantha Jo Marie (Wayne Penass) Pyawasay, Monica Marie Ramirez, Shawn (Kathy) Pamonicutt and Arlin Cox, Sr. He is further survived by numerous aunts and uncles including a special aunt who was like a second mother, Mitzi King; and many nieces and nephews including, Antonio, Nyomi, Gianna, Nevayah, Nyla and Nataeh.

Traditional services will be held for John at the Mitzi King residence W2681 Chief Wis-Ke-Noh, Warrington Addition, in Keshena, beginning Friday August 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm and continuing until Monday August 28, 2023, at 1:00 pm.
