John H. Owen, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, in Shawano. Born on July 21, 1945, to the late Harland and Jessie (Stueck) Owen in Shawano. He was a member of the graduating class of 1964 from Shawano High School. He was proud to have served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On July 14, 1973, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Linda Bohm. Together, they both enjoyed their travels out west but had the most fun taking "Owen family adventures" with their grandkids. The trip across Lake Michigan on the car ferry was one to always remember. John was a true outdoorsman. In his free time, he loved to fish and hunt. One of his favorite fishing spots was at the Wolf River Dam. He will be dearly missed.

John is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Linda; his sons Gregg Owen and Scott (Shanna) Owen; his grandchildren, Abigael Owen, Alexandar Owen, Jerod Owen and Lily Owen; his step-grandchildren, Branden Schirpke and Chase Schirpke.

He was preceded in death by: his parents Harland and Jessie; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Betty Bohm; his sisters Barbara Halzel and Jill Owen.
