John R. Shest, age 21 of Bonduel was born in Novosibirsk, Russia on December 24, 1997. He was adopted and came to live with his new parents in December of 1998. He was baptized on February 14, 1999 at Peace Lutheran Church in Split Rock. John was confirmed on October 30, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Morris. His confirmation verse was John 3:16. John attended Tigerton schools from preschool through 9 th grade. He was selected to be in Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music and traveled to Europe during the summer of 2014. He received a degree in welding from NWTC – Green Bay in 2017. John loved the outdoors and spent most of his time running, biking and jumping on his trampoline. He suffered severe social anxiety and spent much of his time by himself. Those who knew him best appreciated his quick wit. He was interested in vintage rifles and spent countless hours restoring these rifles and resizing and reloading shells. He spent time at the range and was an excellent shot.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John F. and Olga Shest and Raymond Buchholz.
