John Tucker, Sr., age 63 of Keshena, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Shawano, WI. John was born on October 8, 1949 to the late Clarence and Adelaide (Wilber) Tucker, Sr. In 1974 he married Patricia Dodge Waubanascum. The couple made their home and raised their children on the Menominee Indian Reservation where John worked as a logger. He also worked as the Wrestling Coach for some time. When not at work, John enjoyed making traditional dance regalia and baskets. He was also an avid Wisconsin Badger fan. John will be remembered most for his amazing gift of gab and his ability to talk to anyone about anything. His stories and conversations will be missed by many. John is survived by: 3 sons, Robert, Llewellyn, John Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Megan Tucker, Jermaine Rockman, Seth Tucker; 4 sisters, Edryll (James) Stenseth of Wauwatosa, Nathalyn Waupoose of Keshena, Ruth (Mike) Tucker of Milwaukee, Reynel Tucker of Keshena; 3 brothers, Clarence (Elizabeth) Tucker Jr. of Keshena, Bryant (Sandy) Tucker of Charlotte, NC, Daryl (Cynthia) Tucker of Keshena; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Tucker of Belleview. John is furthered survived by: the Dodge Family; brother/sister-in-laws; and nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by: his wife, Patricia; his parents; 2 brothers, Louis Tucker, Myron Tucker Sr.; a sister, Diana Turney; a nephew, Anthony Tucker; and a nephew, Myron Tucker, Jr. Traditional funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Tucker residence located at N958 LaMotte lake Court in Keshena with Leon "Boycee" Valliere officiating. Visitation will be held at the residence from 5:00 p.m. on Sunday until the time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Neopit.
