Jonathan J. "Jon" Corn, Sr., at the age of 61 began his Spiritual journey to be with his daughter, Jackie on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at his home in Neopit.
Jonathan was born on November 10, 1954 in Keshena to the late Harold and Margaret (Caldwell) Young.
On June 9, 1973 he married his wife of 43 years, Nanette (Pamonicutt) Corn and was blessed with four beautiful children, 16 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Jonathan loved to fish with his sons, brothers, grandsons, and friends, many times from the bridge on Camp 23 and the Evergreen.
He enjoyed fixing up their home, painting the rooms, all for his lovely wife and family.
His family meant the world to him.
He loved them all and looked forward to their time together, especially his bud, "Pooper".
He loved to write poetry about anything in life.
He recently share a poem about Veterans and shared it with President Barack Obama and received a Letter of Appreciation from Barack.
He was a proud patrolman for the Menominee Tribal Police Department, maintenance supervisor for the Menominee School District, and working at the Neopit Middle School.
He was a very proud Menominee Tribal Enterprises Board member and his Saturday morning AA group, and recently celebrated seven years of sobriety.
He leaves behind many who will always love and miss him, but will surely be missed by his "right hand man", Cheeks Doud, who jumped at every opportunity to help him.
Jonathan leaves behind his lovely wife of 43 years, Nanette; sons, Marty (Stephanie) Pamonicutt, JJ (Michele) Corn, and Craig (Lori) Corn; 16 grandchildren, Martin, Josey, Nanette, Jesse, Kemewan, Kylee, LaRie, Alexis, Nam, Anthony, Tee-Yon, Teeshawn, Bailey, Elise, Chase, and Paige; three great grandchildren, Taylesia, Harmony, and Dae'Veon, son-in-law, TJ Sanapaw.
He is further survived by two brothers, Nathan (Mary) Young and Gail (Pricilla) Corn; three sisters, Jennifer Young, Mary Knope, and Judy Newton; sister-in-law, Suzette (Butch) Summers; brothers-in-law, Mackey Pamonicutt and Yogi Pamonicutt; aunts, Crystal Caldwell and Charlotte Caldwell; and uncles, Allen Caldwell, Gene Caldwell, and Randy Denning as well as numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Sanapaw; his parents; his sister, Ellen (Che-Che) LaKatos, and one brother Matt Young.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Rev. Joel Jores officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center on Thursday, March 31, 2016 after 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
A parish wake service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
