He was an avid whitetail hunter and the ultimate Packer fan.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Iris; an infant son, Kurt; his parents; and his dog, Spike.
A funeral service will be held for Joseph at 2:30 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Military Honors will be conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:30 pm until the time of service.
Joe's family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare at Home Hospice and to his wonderful friends and neighbors who were always there for him.
