Joseph Patrick "Joe" Stone, age 79, passed away on Thursday March 20, 2024, in Shawano. Joe was born on August 2, 1944, in Antigo, son of the late Ervin and Elizabeth (Funck) Stone. On June 4, 1966, Joe was united in marriage to Sharon Emmerling in Racine. The couple moved to Milwaukee in 1968 where they lived, worked and raised their family before moving to Shawano in retirement. In Joe's free time, he enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and riding his bike in the neighborhood. He was a one-of-a-kind guy and will be dearly missed.

Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon; children, Sherry Reusch, Theresa Duchow, David Stone and Tina Stone; grandchildren, Bonnie, Brandon, Amber, Tawni, Mariah (Shawn), Anastasia (Benny), David Jr., Caylene, Cherokee, Sabrina, Ashley, Sonny, Wendy, Colleen, Cheyanne; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bev VanResslear and Donna Wade. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joe preceded in death by his sister, Judy (Orville) Jacobs and parents, Ervin and Elizabeth.

A memorial service for Joe will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday April 6, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Leslie Dunn officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:30 am until the time of service.
