In memory of our beloved Joseph Richard Lilek who passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011. Born on August 1, 1959 in Harvard, IL, he was the son of Dolores (Boettcher) and the late Richard Lilek. Joseph had been a bricklayer's worker and then a chef, working in New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, Arizona and California before coming to Gillett in 2010. He was a very giving, compassionate man, hard working and honest who had done many amazing things within his lifetime. He enjoyed traveling, hiking in the mountains, motorcycling and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by: his mother, Dolores Lilek (special friend Pat Macara) of Walworth; a brother, Bill Lilek of Milwaukee; a sister, Susan Ketchpaw; his fiancé Mindi Bullock of Gillett, friends, Dan & Sandra Bullock of Gillett and numerous family and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lilek, an uncle and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday October 10, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the services. Joseph will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
