Obituary

Joseph "Joe" Peter Ferrero Sr. 87, passed away at his home in Shawano County on January 5, 2021. He was born on April 24, 1933, to the late Joseph Harold and Mary Marie (Suba) Ferrero in Chicago, Illinois.

Joe joined the Navy at 18 and was a Korean War Veteran who served in the Navy for eight years. He met the love of his life June L. Robbins and was married October 20, 1952, they were married for 66 years. He became a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and was an excellent certified welder. Joe farmed for a while. He loved to dance and listen to all kinds of music. Joe liked boating and fishing especially trying to catch big Northerns. He enjoyed woodworking, making wine, going to the casino, and watching his Green Bay Packers.

Joe is survived by his son, Joseph (Donna) Ferrero Jr., daughter, Robin (Kevin) Kettner, and youngest son, Andy (Jen) Hoffman; six grandchildren, Lisa (Bryan) Voelz, Kevin (Angie) Kettner, Mike Kettner, Carl (Steph) Kettner, Robert Kettner and Joie (Sam) Ferrero; seven great-grandchildren, Alex Kettner, Evan Kuhn, Bryce Voelz, Andrew Kettner, Jacob Kettner, Kaylee Voelz, and Logan Kettner. He is further survived by his sister Joann (Mike) Price, as well as many nieces and nephews on both sides of his family.  He was preceded in death by his wife June, his sister MaryAnn, and his brother Frank.

He will be missed by many who loved him. Joe's celebration of life is being postponed due to COVID-19.
