Joseph L. Sanapaw Jr., age 55, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Keshena. He was born July 8, 1962 in Shawano to Joseph and the late Margaret (Peters) Sanapaw.  Joseph lived in the Keshena area most his life and worked in the woods.  He enjoyed picking berries, going to casinos, being in the woods and shanging.

Joseph is survived by: his partner Jeri Corn; his children, Joseph Sanapaw III, Jessie (Jason) Waukau, Brooke Sanapaw, Bobby Joe (Ashley) Sanapaw, Whitney (Kenny) Sanapaw, Ashley (Brian) Sanapaw, Roberta Sanapaw, Louis Sanapaw, Mahkanit Sanapaw and Derek Corn; siblings, Roberta James, Raymond (Debra) Sanapaw, Alvin (Kendall) Sanapaw, Michelle Sturdavent, Sheila Neosh, Richard (Brenda) Sanapaw, Kenny (Geraldine) Sanapaw, Stefanie (Marty) Pamonicutt, LeRoy (Keri) Sanapaw, T.J. (Sasha) Sanapaw, Shawn (Eddy) Sanapaw and Kris Sanapaw; and 25 grandchildren. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Margaret, one sister Lynette and granddaughter Elianna Rose.

A funeral service for Joseph will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the residence of Joey and Boo Sanapaw located at N1126 HWY 47 55, Keshena. Visitation will be held at the home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
