Joseph "Joe" Schwebl III, age 55 of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Shawano. Born on February 3, 1959 in LaGrange, IL he is the son of Joseph Schwebl Jr. and the late Carol (Marohl) Schwebl. He was employed by the Oneida Casino as a security officer. Joe was known as a "jack of all trades" which showed in his carpentry skills and his enjoyment of being outside. In addition he loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Joe is survived by: his fiancé, Mary McVey and her children Amber (Eric) Endries and Michael (Marie) McVey; his father, Joseph (Lee Becker) Schwebl of Shawano; five sisters, Pamela Schwebl of Tampa, FL, Catherine Schwebl-Waits of Charlotte, NC, Dorothy Steen of Tampa, FL, Susan Schwebl of Tampa, FL, Carol Lynn (Chris) Traber of Tampa, FL; eight nieces and nephews, Gregory Steen, Lauren Steen, Nicholas Browne, Ana Waits, Kaylee Browne, Katie Traber, Grayson Traber and Maya Traber. Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Carol. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with the Father David Barrett officiating. Visitation will be at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for the cemetery.
