Joseph L. Tilkens, age 62, passed away on Friday June 23, 2023, in Shawano. Joseph was born on January 19, 1961, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to the late Lyle and Judy (Stordeaur) Tilkens. He worked 30 years in New York, before returning to the Shawano area in 2019. Joseph spent his free time hunting and fishing.

Joseph is survived by his children, Natasha Caelwaerts (Bradley Salmon), Joel Tilkens and Daniel Bushnell; grandchildren, Blake, Lyle, Bailey, Ava; siblings, Cheryl (Bill) Deterville, Peter (Terry) Tilkens, Pat (Cathy) Tilkens, Dawn (Art Livingston) Tilkens.

A celebration of life for Joseph will be held at a later time. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
