Obituary

Joseph Albert Waupoose, age 96 of Middle Village, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Wolf River CBRF. Born on June 25, 1916 in Keshena, he was the son of the late Albert and Madeline (Hanks) Waupoose. Joseph lived most of his life in the Neopit area and attended the St. Joseph School in Keshena. He later worked as a carpenter and for Menominee Tribal Enterprise until retiring. Joseph is survived by: a son, Norman Waupoose of Shawano; 12 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and great great-grandchildren. He is further survived by: 2 sisters, Rose Neconish Waupoose of Keshena, Marceline Warrington of Keshena; and 2 brother, Leroy Neconish of Keshena, and Ronald Neconish of Keshena. Joseph was preceded in death by: 2 sons, Albert John and Howard Waupoose; his parents; 4 sisters; and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with Charlotte Wagner officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Menominee American Legion Post #497 and the Veterans of the Menominee Nation at the church following the service. Visitation will be held at the Tina Pamonicutt residence located at N2095 Hickory Lane, Middle Village from 4:00pm on Wednesday until the procession leaves for the church on Friday. Cremation will take place at the Lone Pine Crematory in Bonduel following the service. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
