Joyce Marie Richter, age 76 of Shawano, began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Joyce was born on December 12, 1943, to the late Raphael and Josephine (Crawford) Tucker in Keshena. Joyce was united in marriage to Michael Richter on December 2, 1972 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena. Joyce worked in accounting for the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin and the Menominee Casino for many years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the casino. Joyce loved her family dearly especially spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael; a daughter, Jolynn Richter; a son, Eric Richter; grandchildren, Jordan, Jarred, Tanisha, Mia, Zoe, and Nicole; a great-grandchildren, Winona, Jasmine, Arsenio, Angel, and Arelli; a sister, Yvonne Genett; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Thomas and Pat Ebert. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a foster child, Kenneth Munson; her parents; her siblings, Virginia Pamonicutt, Robert Tucker, Frances Pyawasay, Elizabeth Oshkeshequoam, Luella Pamonicutt, and Margaret Boivin; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen.

A funeral mass will be held for Joyce at 11:00 am on Monday, December 7, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. David Barrett and Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Use of masks, hand sanitizer and social distancing will be required.
