Obituary

God looked down and saw there was nothing more to be done and said "Judy, come home to me in heaven."

Judy Ann Bahr, age 73, died peacefully at home with her family at her side after a courageous four year battle with cancer.  Judy was born in Iola, WI on July 29, 1942 to Norma (Peterson) Gregerson and the late Arnold Gregerson.  After graduating from Iola High School, she was married on August 13, 1960 to Garwood Bahr and moved to Shawano where they raised their four daughters.  Together with Garwood's brother Richard and his wife Pat they owned, operated, and put in many long days at Bahr's Minnow, from 1971 until 2001, when they sold the business and retired to their home in the woods.  Judy enjoyed working at home, cooking, and raising their four girls.   Judy also enjoyed her flower gardens and really loved going camping with her family, friends, and her sister's family.  As the girls were growing up, the family enjoyed several trips to Florida, including Disney World.  She also enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach, Branson and Virginia with her husband, friends, and sister.  Recently Judy was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Mexico with family for her grandson's wedding, it was a wonderful family trip.

Judy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Garwood; their four daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Stachowiak of Shawano, Kim Johnson of Florida, Sherri (friend, Paul Prokash) Runge of Shawano, and Michelle (fiancé, Curtis Roesler) Pierce of Neenah; eight grandchildren, Shannon (special friend, Tammy Kristof) Behnke, Shane (Jenny) Behnke, Shawn Behnke, and Shadwell (Brittany) Behnke, Brittany Runge, Bryce (special friend, Cami) Runge all of Shawano, Leo White of Florida, and Brianna Roesler of Neenah; five great-grandchildren, Audrina Behnke, Makayla, Braden, and Graci Behnke, and Mya Coffey; her mother, Norma Gregerson of Iola; one brother, Thomas Gregerson of Shawano; one sister, Linda (Kenny) Sorenson of Iola; aunt and uncle, Anita and Everett Peterson of Amherst as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Alex Koteff, her father, Arnold Gregerson and one brother, Dennis Gregerson.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating.  Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to:  Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O.
