IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith
Breitenbach
March 23, 1940 – August 14, 2020
On Friday, August 14, 2020, Judith Breitenbach was reunited with her husband Bob before the throne of God. Judith Mae Schave was born on March 23, 1940 to Raymond and Leona (Kumerow) Schave in Wausau, Wisconsin. She met Robert Breitenbach and they were united in marriage on July 30, 1958 in Merrill, Wisconsin. It was definitely love at first sight! They were together for 57 years and were blessed with two daughters. Robert preceded Judith in death in 2015.
Judy was a stay at home mom until both girls were teenagers and then went to work part time at Evergreen Nursing Home, later at Birch Hill Care Center as Activity Director, a position she held for over 20 years. Most recently, until just before her illness, she enjoyed her part time role in Activities at Oak Haven. She truly cared about every resident and made sure that they were never forgotten.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Susan (John) Flauger and Denise (Harold) Marks; two grandchildren, Harold T. Marks IV and Hannah (James) Walecki; and six great-grandchildren, Elliot, Natalie, Kyla, Alexis, Trinity, and Uriah. Judy is further survived by one sister, Yvonne, and one brother Raymond, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and one grandson, Robert Lee Marks.
A memorial service for Judy will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2020, at Divine Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Wolf Parsons officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Pella Opening. A memorial fund has been established in Judy's name at Divine Savior Lutheran Church.
So many friends showed how much they cared while Judy was ill and will never be forgotten. A special thank you goes out to friends Emily, Cheryl, Travis and Barb E. Without them she never would have been able to stay at home for as long as she did. Also, the care she received from ThedaCare Hospice in Shawano, as well as AGrace Hospice in Wisconsin Dells, was nothing short of phenomenal.
During her last week of her life she was cared for in Harold & Denise's home and died in the loving arms of her daughter.
