Judith A. Kazik, age 85 of Gillett, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 9, 2024.  Judy was born in Green Bay, on December 17, 1938, to the late Melvin and Juliet (Hildebrandt) Ness.  She met Eugene when she was only 15 years old.  Eugene intended on taking Judy's sister out, but God had a different plan. The couple went on their first date to the Oneida Golf & Riding Club, and never parted.  They fell in love and were married two years later, on November 3, 1956, in Bowler.  Judy loved purple, her birds, flowers, making chicken booyah with Eugene, and spending time with her family.  She was a hard worker, and always reminded her family members they could do things better.  Judy will be remembered as the best mom and wife.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Eugene; their children, Lori Kazik of Shawano, James (Debbie) Kazik of Suamico, Merlin (Barbara) Kazik of Shawano, and Rory (Lori) Kazik of Shawano; several grandchildren; four siblings, Fritz (Judy) Ness, Roy 'Butch' (Carol), Fay Thornton, and Linda (Ron) Kirshner.  She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three children, Tania, Marlon and Cherryl; along with three siblings, Jimmy, Tommy and Baby Ness.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in Lawrence Cemetery.
