Judith Marie (nee Winneshiek) Lyons, age 75 of Keshena, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Shawano Medical Center. Born on February 11, 1937 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Jane (O'Kimosh) Winneshiek. On December 13, 1972 she was united in marriage to Renaldo J. Lyons. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1978. Judy was an amazing cook who wouldn't let anyone leave her house without a full belly. She was a very giving person who was willing to help anyone. In her free time she enjoyed playing the slots at the casino, basket weaving, sewing and doing beadwork. In her younger years, Judy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and berry picking. Judy is survived by: a son, Merrill (Llavon) Lyons of ID; 3 grandchildren, Autum, Tyrell and Tia Lyons; a great-grandchild on the way; 2 sisters, Cynthia (Ted) Gauthier of Keshena, Dorothy (Joe "Puffer") Smith of Neopit; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece and nephew, John and Candy Boyd whom Judy helped raise. Judy was preceded in death by: her husband, Renaldo; her parents; 3 brothers, Lloyd, Curtis and Randy; and 3 sisters, Mary, Sharon and Edwardine. Traditional services will be held at the Candy Boyd residence located at W2687 Chief Iometah in the Warrington Addition, Keshena after 5pm on Thursday until the procession leaves for the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Keshena at 11:00a.m on Saturday.
