Julie Kay Bishop, age 58 of Marion, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021. Julie was born on August 8, 1962 to the late Joe and Genevieve (Lenzner) Mraz in Shawano. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1980. Julie worked for Schultz Brothers in Shawano, was a healthcare worker, a paraprofessional educator for the Marion School District, and most recently worked in several local United States Post Offices. On August 23, 1986, Julie was united in marriage to Jay E. Bishop in Shawano. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Pella, where she also taught Sunday School. She was a general leader for the Pella Eagles 4-H Club and was the first Fairest of the Fair for Shawano County. Julie enjoyed gardening, camping, shooting pool and playing cribbage. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Julie is survived by: her husband of 34 years, Jay; son, Lee A. Bishop; siblings, James (Debbie) Mraz, Sandy (Mark) Gulmire, Karen (Dave) Theis, Joe (Cathy) Mraz, Mary (Tom) Bloomer, Debbie Elertson, and Tammy (David Bartz) Friedrich; mother-in-law, Barbara Bishop; sisters-in-law, Lori Bishop and Carolyn Bishop; stepmother, Elaine Mraz; stepbrother, Kenny Wolfe; and stepsister, Anita (Jamie) Smith. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell J. Bishop; her parents; two brothers, Robert "Bob" Mraz and Andy Mraz; father-in-law, Alvin Bishop; and stepsister, Pam Faehling.

A funeral service for Julie will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Pella with Rev. Tim Lofgren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and again on Sunday at the church from noon until time of services.
