June Marie Richards, age 87 of Oshkosh, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014. Born on June 3, 1926 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Matilda Oshkenaniew. After graduating from Flandreau High School, June married Arthur William Richards in Keshena. She had a warm heart and loved helping others. In 1973 she graduated from the University of WI-Oshkosh with a degree in Social Work. This career allowed her to continue to do what she loved, help others. June is survived by: her son, Joseph (Susan) Richards of Glendale; and a grandson, James Mitchell Richards. June was preceded in death by: her husband, Arthur in 1973; a daughter, Deborah; a son, James; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm and at the church on Friday from 11:00am until the time of the service. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
