Karen Irene Carlson, age 81, passed away in Shawano on Wednesday February 15, 2023. Karen was born on July 27, 1941, to the late Franklin and Irene (Goodremote) Wathke, in Fall Creek, Wisconsin. First and foremost Karen had a strong faith.  She was united in marriage to David Jeske who preceded her in death on June 18, 2005. On October 7, 2006, Karen was united in marriage to Richard Carlson, he preceded her in death on January 16, 2023. Karen enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, cooking, and baking. She loved music and often listened to country western and danced around the kitchen to the oldies. In her younger years she enjoyed playing badminton, croquet, and lawn darts.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Dan) Carpenter; her stepchildren, Edye (Greg) Maske, Theresa (Keith) Christensen, Jodi (Bill) Harris, and Jamie (Charity) Carlson; her grandchildren Bruce and Jessica Sadler; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous siblings.

Karen is preceded in death by her first husband, David Jeske; her second husband, Richard Carlson; and siblings.

There will be a memorial service held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at N4764 Willow Lane, Shawano, WI 54166 on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 4:00 pm. Visitation will be at 3:00 pm at the church.
