Karen L. Carroll, age 53 of Shawano, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at her home. Karen was born on March 2, 1961 in Milwaukee to James Matz and Mary Anderson. After graduation, Karen moved to Shawano. She loved sewing, flower gardening and was a Packer fan. Karen was a wonderful cook. Karen is survived by her fiancé, Preston Waupoose of Shawano; her children; Courtney and Casey Carroll of Shawano and their father Bruce Carroll; 4 grandchildren, Jaden, Nevaeh, LeAnthony and Brynlee; her parents James Matz and Mary Anderson; her sisters, Kathy Jacobs of New London, Diane Lemke of Birnamwood and Sharon (Mitch) Brabender of Pulaski. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Swedberg Funeral Home is Shawano with the Rev. Dave Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
