Obituary

Karen Crook, age 75, of Shawano, formerly of the city of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at her home. Karen was born on December 5, 1943, in Plymouth, to the late Werner and Magdeline (Justmann) Finke. She graduated from Plymouth High School, with the class of 1962 and then attended the Deaconess School of Nursing and graduated from Lakeshore Technical College. On September 14, 1963, Karen was united in marriage to Fredrick Crook at St. John's Lutheran Church in Plymouth, WI.

Karen is survived by: her husband, Fredrick; her children, Kathleen (Ronald) Butler, Steven (Nancy) Crook, and Karen (Robert) Hynek; 10 grandchildren, Rachel (Chad) Remmel, Erin (Ed) Salmeron, Rory Behling, Taylor Crook, Sam Crook, Holly (fiancée, Ryan) Hynek, Cassie Hynek, Rodney (fiancée, Katie) Hynek, Maggie Hynek and Ronald Butler; 6 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Dillon, Aliyah, Adelyn, Lincoln, and Gabby; siblings, Lori (Tom) Yahr, Jane (Mark) Nicolaus, and Linda (Tom) Blotz; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Werner and Magdeline Finke.

A memorial service for Karen will be held at 1:30 pm, on Friday, September 13, 2019, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Steve Schauder officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from noon until the time of service.

Karen's wishes were for memorials to be made to the sound system at St. James Lutheran Church.
