Karen V. Heins, age 71 of Shawano, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at a local hospital with her family at her bedside. Born on August 24, 1941 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of Edward and the late Eva (Reeves) Solie. On October 13, 1961 she was united in marriage to Mrython Heins in Gresham. Karen was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a caring, warm, genuine, giving and loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed. Karen is survived by: her 5 children, Mark Heins of Gresham, Rebecca (Thomas) Rudesill of Bowler, Joy (Larry) Hoffman of Bowler, Dawn Heins of Bowler, Paul Heins of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and her father Edward. Karen was preceded in death by: her mother; and a daughter-in-law, Sue Heins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Shawano with the Bishop Michael Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Gresham Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00a.m. until the time of the service.
