Karen Marie Koth, age 51, passed away on November 24, 2023, at her home in Shawano. Karen was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on December 21, 1971, to Michael and Elizabeth (Rankin) Gigl. Karen graduated from Southwest High School in Green Bay and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. On June 18, 1994, she was united in marriage to Kurt Koth in Shawano. Kurt preceded her in death November 6, 2023. In her free time Karen enjoyed camping, sewing, and doing crafts.  She was also a huge Harry Potter fan.

Karen is survived by her children, Jon Koth, and Alex (Courtney) Koth, her parents, Michael and Elizabeth Gigl, a brother, Steven (Danica) Gigl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kristine and Don Heidewald, Trudy and Bruce Knuepfer, Edwina Koth, and Pamela (Jake Ludvigsen) Pociask. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service for Karen will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano at 11:00am on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of service.
