Karl O. Jonsson, age 75 of Gresham, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Karl was born on April 5, 1945 to the late Ingolf and Jenny (Sigtrudur) Jonsson in Stavanger, Norway.  Karl served in the Norwegian Merchant Marines.  On April 26, 1969, Karl was united in marriage to Betty June Robinson in Las Vegas, Nevada. Betty preceded him in death on April 4, 2020. He was a member of Keshena Assembly of God and was very involved in church. Karl and Betty had numerous foster children and foreign exchange students throughout the years and enjoyed traveling. Karl enjoyed spending his free time building clocks and woodworking. He loved God and his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Karl is survived by his children, Karl (Monica) Jonsson of Indiana, Charles (Corabell) Jonsson of Gresham and Ginger (Derek) Schechter Gong of California; grandchildren, Charles, Amanda, Nick, Gabby, Erika, Nathan, Cobey, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Damian, Sam, Elli, Aubrey, Julien, and Benjamin; and siblings, Ingjerd Jonsson and Edvin Jonsson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Laurel Halbert; his parents; one sister and one brother.

Private family services will be held.
