Karlene "Charli" K. Carey Hoffman Grandstaff, age 65, of Shawano, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 27, 2025. Born on October 6, 1960, in Lake Forest, Illinois, Charli was the beloved daughter of the late Betty Jean Fennell and Kenneth Lee Carey. She attended Camelback High School in Arizona through her sophomore year before beginning a lifelong journey filled with laughter, love, and meaningful connections. From a very young age, Charli found joy in serving others and was known as a truly exceptional waitress. She loved working with the public and had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and seen. Whether she was sharing a laugh, offering a kind word, or lending a listening ear, Charli had a way of brightening everyone's day.

Charli is survived by her sister Caryn Ann Carey Blauner and her brother Kevin Lee Carey (Susan); brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Semanko; nieces Jennifer Carey Levin and Lisa Carey; nephews Keith Carey (Beckie) and Scott Carey; plus, many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and stepdaughter Amy Jo Grosam (Grandstaff).

Charli is preceded in death by her sister Lydia "Kim" Carey; brother Keith Carey; parents, Betty and Kenneth; and grandparents.
