Kathleen "Kathy" Martin, age 69, of Shawano, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born on September 6, 1942 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Montey) Hansen. Kathy moved to the Shawano area in 1979 and had been employed as a medical secretary at the Shawano Clinic for 10 years. She married Daniel E. Martin on January 16, 1965 in West Allis. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2001. Kathy is survived by: her son, Robert (Shannon) Martin of Allenton; a grandson, Patrick Martin; siblings, Donna (Bruce) Zastrow of Wind Lake, Diane Scheinpflug of Batavia, IL, Darlene (Richard) Land of Milwaukee, Chip (Terri) Scheinpflug of West Bend; brother-in-law, Herman (Bonita) Martin of Sioux Falls, SD; and nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by: her husband, Daniel; her daughter, Sandra, a granddaughter, Elizabeth; her parents; her step father, Albert Scheinpflug; a brother, Charles; and her mother-in-law, Adele Martin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating.
