Kathleen "Sister Girl" Pewewardy, age 66 formerly of Minneapolis, MN, currently residing in Shawano, died at ManorCare on Friday, September 13, 2013. Born on May 21, 1947, in Lawton, OK, she is the daughter of the late Thelma Connahvichnah. She loved to go to the casino and play bingo. Kathleen is survived by: her children, Andrew Des Jarlait of Red Lake, MN, Timothy Des Jarlait of Suring, WI, Kimberly Des Jarlait of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Antasia Statley, Jaymzie, Daphne, Sebastian and Alfred Des Jarlait; brother and sister-in-law, Roderick and Rita) Connahvichnah of Keshena; and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. She is preceded in death by: her significant other, Gilbert Eason; her son, James Des Jarlait; and a brother, Edward "Popeye" Connahvichnah. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Comanche Nation Funeral Home in Lawton, OK. Burial will follow at the Otipoby Cemetery in Ft. Sill, OK. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00-7:00pm.
