Kathleen Ann Sperberg, age 54, of Shawano, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Kathy was born on May 15, 1965, in Shawano, to Henry and the late Nancy (Brandt) Schultz. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1983.  She continued her education and graduated with an associate's degree from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.   Kathy was united in marriage to Chris Sperberg on June 18, 1994 in Shawano. She started her career at Aarrowcast Inc., on June 11, 1990 and continued until October 2, 2019.  Kathy has been courageously fighting her breast cancer for almost 12 years.  She enjoyed watching her son Joey playing basketball and baseball, spending time with her family and friends.  She was like a mother to her siblings, nieces and nephews.  Kathy took great pleasure in caring for her foster daughter Emma for a year.  She loved taking care of her home, often decorating for the changing of the seasons.  Kathy also enjoyed going up-north to the Land O' Lakes area, shopping, working and staying busy.

Kathy is survived by: her husband Chris; son, Joseph "Joey" and foster daughter Emma; father, Henry Schultz of Shawano; sisters, Sandy (David) Rindt of Shawano and Terri (Rob) Johnson of Appleton; sisters and brother in law, Carol (Donnie) Brei of Shawano, Calvin Sr. (Patty) Sperberg of Green Bay and Connie Bukoski of Shawano; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Alicia, Kaylee, Logan, Spencer, Jenny, Steven, Kim, Calvin Jr., Nathan and Tess. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Nancy; her father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Violet (Zastrow) Sperberg; and one brother in law, Jerry Bukoski.

A funeral service for Kathy will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Peace United Church of Christ with Rev. Blake Blakesley officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Swedberg Funeral Home - Shawano from 4-8 pm, and again at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.
